Delighted that Connor Brady has been chosen to stand as official candidate.

“It’s an incredible honour to be chosen to be one of the Labour Candidates in Biddulph East for Biddulph Town and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council in the forthcoming May 2nd elections.

I have grown up in Biddulph and I am the current Labour Youth Officer for Staffordshire Moorlands. It’s vital to me that younger people have proper representation in local politics. As youth services are eroded, the current Tory and Independent councillors seem to have no idea what young people care about, so its vital young people get a voice.

I want to start a green policy in Biddulph, increasing tree planting, introducing solar panels on public buildings, and safeguarding our greenfield land from developments.

Together our Labour team will stop the callous Tory cuts decimating our community and make positive change, for the many, not the few!

It would be my honour and privilege to receive your support and your vote on May 2nd! ”

    Hello,
I note your commitments to the town and the young. I wonder what your plans are for dealing with the anti social issues on Congelton road? I have had to move in to my kitchen due to youths banging on the living room window. Also, being autistic, I am struggling to find suitable housing and there is nothing for disabled adults in the moorlands and yet for OAP’s there is more than enough. I am struglling to cope and yet there is no one to turn to for help due to the cut backs.

      Hi Nick,
I’m really sorry to hear about your predicament. I’ve been there myself, a few years ago and I know how horrible it can be. If you know the name of your local councillor write to them first, or go and see them at one of their surgeries. If you’re not sure go online at Find your local councillors and put in your post code. If you do write copy your message to your MP. That always helps.
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
      Kind Regards
      Matt Swindlehurst
