Jenny Lingham – Out and about in Alton

Here in Alton I have been collecting (things, not money) for the homeless, and all items have been passed on to suitable Staffordshire charities. I have been doing this since before Christmas and have had loads of donations from many people (members and non-members). This is ongoing. I also collected a few bags of socks for the homeless (filled with useful items) as part of a Christmas initiative by a Stoke charity. Before Christmas I was given many car-loads of things for a local women’s refuge which included baby equipment, toys, toiletries and Christmas decorations….and money, which the refuge were going to use towards making Christmas a happy one for the women and children.
