Local election candidates were out and about in Leek South yesterday afternoon. (L-R) Matt Swindlehurst, Councillor Sue Coleman, Keith Hoptroff and Councillor Mike Gledhill were in the Selbourne Road area, meeting voters and listening to their concerns. Leek hospital featured largely, (as always !), with a recognition of Labour’s key role in the campaign to keep services in the town.
The savage Tory cuts to local councils means that, more than ever, Leek needs a council that’s prepared to stand up and fight for vital services. On May 2nd electors will have the chance to make that choice.
For the many, not the few.
