Members of Leek Labour Party lay a wreath at the Nicholson War Memorial just before 11 am on Sunday, 13th November.
Councillor Coleman says the message on the card read:
“…. They braced their belts about them,
They crossed in ships the sea
They sought and found six feet of ground,
And there they died for me.
– A. E. Houseman”
She had added: “We do remember.”
Remembrance Sunday Leek Labour Party

Hi so profoundly moving that in towns and villages throughout the land this simple act of laying wreath remembers and honours those who never came back. Do we not owe it to them to do all we can to ensure it must never happen again? They made the ultimate sacrifice resisting tyrant so that we may live in liberty. For that we should all be grateful
